					| Description |
Prince of Homburg is one of the most astonishing plays ever written. Although completed in 1810 its concerns of civil disobedience and isolation are strikingly modern. The Prince of Homburg, a soldier, wins a battle but is sentenced to death for disobeying orders. The Elector of Brandenburg, his uncle, is compelled to demand the execution of his heir, and the Princess Natalie is forced to plead for him. |
