Description Australia's leading contemporary Aboriginal dance company combines technically sophisticated stree-wise choreography with intimate ceremonial and ritual traditions reaching back some 40,000 years. Indigenous dancers enact a series of elemental scenes, performing dances once conceived as ritualized obeisance to the gods which now inform and enhance Bangarra's work about what it means to be an Indigenous Australian in the modern world.
