Description Patricia Highsmith passed away in the early hours of the morning in a Swiss hospital on the 4th February in 1995, due to a combination of aplastic anaemia and lung cancer that had ravaged her body over several months. Patricia Highsmith's life had been a tumultuous one and had left its marking on her. What remained was an immensely talented, deeply flawed and extremely complex woman.
