Further Information All cast played Richard III during the performance as well as multiple other characters. "Richard" in each scene would be wearing a burgundy scarf. The Director did not want conventional theatre lighting so hand torches were hung down the sides of the stage for the cast to light each other while conventional lighting was reflected or refracted from broken mirrors in the lighting grid or offstage.
