| Description |
Set in Ireland in 1833, the place is hedge school in County Donegal whose scholars are local peasants. Irish meet English when Royal Engineers arrive in the district. The playwright superbly reveals the lack of understanding and the cultural gulf between the two.
Awarded the 1981 Plays and Players award for best play of the year |
