Notes Born Parkes. Perhaps the most distinguished Australian radio drama producer. As a child performed with Knight and Rignold. Went to England worked as an actor for many years, served WW1, returned to Australia briefly then worked USA 1920-1932. Appointed first Head of Drama Production ABC. Produced 1000 plays for ABC. Joined Army WW2, left ABC to join Macquarie network then Grace Gibson till 1963.
