From Calcutta to Sydney, Puerto Rico to New York and Japan to Melbourne - Women in Transit was presented by three unique women artists who took the audience on an ebullient journey of transition and discovery.
Rakini Devi?s iconoclastic approach to characterisation has seen her likened to India?s famous Bandit Queen, Yumi Umiumare explores her life between two shores and DD Dorvillier experiences her body as the place, dance the transit, and time an occupied territory. |
