Description A haunting story of devotion, as Carmelite nuns, doomed by the French Revolution, search their souls for the courage to fulfil their vows of martyrdom. Joan Sutherland appears as Madame Lidoine, the Prioress who must lead her sisters to their death at the guillotine.
