Description |
A theatrical treasure of the Baroque that is as thrilling as it is magical. Distinguished British conductor, Trevor Pinnock, conducts a dream cast in Handel's lavish operatic spectacle. If the Christians are successful in winning Jerusalem from the Saracens, the Christian warrior, Rinaldo is promised the hand of the beautiful Algerian in marriage. The wicked enchantress, Armida, calls forth her dark powers to thwart his ambitions on both counts. |
