Description |
It is 1492. The enterprising town council of Basle decides to get rid of its unwanted human flotsam by putting them on an uncharted journey down the Rhine. But look again. It is 1992, and an enterprising government in Australia decides to put its unemployed on a bus and send them out into the sticks to perform good deeds in a "works for the dole" incentive. Out of these parallel stories writer Andrew Bovell and Melbourne's Whistling in the Theatre have woven an exciting pair of parallel tales. |
