| Description |
By Noel Purdon. A lively production of a new play about oppression and resistance. In 1300 in the Pyrenees, a bizarre event occurred. An entire village was arrested by a new court: the Inquisition. Their crime? They were mockers and sceptics, promiscuous women, homosexuals, shrewd peasants and shepherds who refused to work within the economic structure laid down for them. As the people of 1982, who are we? The village or their Inquisitors? |
