Description |
It is the night of May 31, 1942. Sydney at war, the city blacked out. Camouflaged buses, trams still. A few lucky girls on the last ferry to Manly caress their silk stockings, purchased on the black market; The ferry feels its way across the gloom of the Heads within the protection of the Harbour 'boom', Sydney's anti-invasion water net. But already the enemy is within. Two miniature Japanese submarines nose up the Harbour preparing their suicidal assault on the city. |
