"Set in Sydney during the early post war (1945) years and with a working class theme, the film explores the trials and tribulations suffered by three brothers who, during a drought, are forced off the land and into the city. The story of the Cassidy family. Dan and his wife Aggie and his two brothers Martin and Paddy and their wives. Dan is the pillar of the family the one the others turn to in times of trouble. One year whilst the family is on holiday in Woy Woy, New South Wales, Dan's son meets Jack. Jack is immediately attrached to Dan and makes his intentions clear. At first Dan is confused but a relationship develops between the teenagers - but will it just be a summer love?"
