The winner of the 14th Tasmanian Drama Festival, the Catherine Duncan Cup was the Launceston Repertory Society with The Mayor of Torontal. The other finalists were the Launceston Players with Penny Dreadful and the Westbury Drama Club with Lord Arthur Saville's Crime who were awarded the Launceston Players Torch for the best country group.
