Description |
Rossini's barber - the very same Figaro who gets married in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro - is one of opera's most popular comic creations. His dapper Roaring '20s style and slapstick silent movie antics, courtesy of director Elijah Moshinsky, have had Australian audiences in gales of laughter. This is a laugh-a-minute farce in which arias and pratfalls meet - and have a very close shave. |
