"Love Suicides is set in contemporary Perth, but uses ancient Japanese arts of puppetry and dance, accompanied by music dominated by the 13-stringed koto." The playwright's homage to the 18th century playwright Chikamatsu Monzaemon. The play plots the destiny of two lovers - one from Osaka and the other from Perth. |
