Description |
Presented in 2016, Bangarra's triple bill OUR land people stories weaves captivating choreography, costumes and artistry to breathtaking effect. Nyapanaypa, a new work by Bangarra Artistic Director Stephen Page, is inspired by the beautifully textured paintings of Yirrkala artist Nyapanyapa Yunupingu. The kinship systems of Wiradjuri country are explored by dancers Beau Dean Riley Smith and Daniel Riley in Miyagan, and the true history of Sydney is explored in Macq by Jasmin Sheppard, examining the two sides to Governor Macquarie. |
