Description Winner of many awards, including the Tony Award for Best Play, "Biloxi Blues" is largely autobiographical. Set in "Boot Camp" during his period of army training, it tells of the central character's coming of age as a young man. The play is enriched by the diverse cast of superbly scripted characters and director Jon Ewing focuses his attention on the conflict below the comedy, creating a stunning ensemble vehicle.
