Loosely based around the notion that the signature aspects of ourselves conspire to reveal us to those around us in a multitude of ways, this piece is a collaborative endeavour between the dancers and myself. "Monogram" has been constructed entirely of the dancers' movement material, which was created as a response to tasks set by myself. As Link Dance Company are graduating and Honours students I settled on the choreographic process used as a way of giving the dancers active input into the construction and thematic concerns of the place. |
