Two plays, 'Kantan' and 'Sotoba Komachi' by Yukio Mishima, a 20th century Japanese novelist and writer in the Noh tradition...In 'Kantan' a troubled young man returns to his childhood home and his adoring nanny who has a strange pillow with power over dreams...In 'Sotoba Komachi' a poet encounters in dreams embodiments of aspects of the legendary courtesan Komachi, famed for her beauty and accomplishment. |
