Leonard Bernstein's Candide, which is part opera and part musical will be perfomed by State Opera in the spirit of the Cabaret Festival which is being staged in June.Bernstein described Candide as his Valentine card to everyghing he loved about European opera.Performed in English,a combination of Bernstein's glorious music and a Monty Python style script makes for a fantastic night of theatre. |
