Description A one-act play by William Kozlenko. "Another magnificent protest against war."
"Civilisation is in deadly peril." Although written mainly from a pacifist angle, "Trumpets of Wrath" rings with militant sincerity. If -- in spite of all -- the tragedy of war should happen, then let us, like Benda, give ourselves "A why and what-for," and in so doing make sure who and what is actually responsible for such outrages.
We will not then be left in the same dilemma as the last great "War to end Wars," when through devious ways we were blinded to the truth and were unable to recognise that the enemy was in our midst.
The New Theatre League dedicates this production to Peace Week and all peace-loving people, and in order that the Theatre can play its part in the present Crusade for Peace.
Repeat performances every Sunday evening during September 1938.
