Further Information The opening night performance of this production was dedicated to the memory of Max Oldaker who starred as Rudi in the first Australian production of this operetta in Melbourne, June 1946, with Viola Wilson (later Lady Tait) as Maria and again in 1949 at Ivor Novello's request in a revival for an English provincial tour.
