Working with Top End men to learn first-hand what makes them tick, dance artists Matt Cornell and Joshua Thomson want to know: what is a bloke, actually? What behaviours and habits define him? What beliefs restrict him? Now the world has changed, has the traditional Aussie bloke been left behind? By drawing on the physicality of the Australian male and combining it with a diverse range of movement styles and a good dash of humour, these young blokes will create their first full-length dance work honouring the men they grew up around. |
