| Description |
In Alban Berg's eponymous opera, the tragic story of the poor soldier Woyzeck and his love for his faithless mistress Marie continues to be a potent source of inspiration. Recently the brilliant young Hungarian choreographer Josef Nadj created Woyzeck, an astonishing piece of physical theatre. Set inside a shabby claustrophobic hut, this is a slow-motion nightmare, a disturbing world of hollow rituals and loveless rivalries. |
