| Description |
Using extraordinary staging, sound, lighting, movement and special effects, Berkoff creates a fantastic, fascinating and frightening world, a world that leaps between ecstasy and horror. As in his other works, Berkoff takes the influence of ancient arts - dance mime, voice, yoga, gymnastics - and incorporates them in a theatre that is not a purely verbal communication but a fusion of elements combining in a new theatre language to produce a state of profound illuminations. |
