Zoey would describe it as a dramatic play. She would describe it as beautiful, tender, sad, funny. And also really clever, and really honest and really raw. She wrote it as a way of dealing with a really bad break-up - but it’s not just a break-up play. There’s heaps of other stuff in there too. About, like... Love. And loss. It’s about life, really. Life. Yeah. It's got a lot of layers. Which isn’t to say that it’s totally difficult or self-indulgent or anything. It’s actually quite relatable. Surprisingly accessible. But also deeply subversive. |
