Description The play concerns those at the head of the Roman Empire in its period of greatest power and decadence, yet resonates through time to comment on the ideologically-divided political social arenas of the present. The new Emperor, the infamous Caligula, has resumed his position after a mysterious illness that leaves the state of Rome and the sanity of Caesar in question. Where the shifting loyalties of the Senate, the Army and the Imperial Family lie becomes the focus of the deepest and most riveting intrigue.
