| Description |
A video and sound installation partly conceived and shot in the streets of Manhattan in the days following September 11, 2001. Also using televised images from Afghanistan, the installation interrogates how unmediated and mediated experiences of violence produce a series of representational, political, emotional, physical, and ethical points of impact. The installation is staged as a relentless cycle of collisions - between the utterly personal and the maddeningly political; media noise and military dementia, the aesthetically insane and the visually appeasing. |
