| Description | After years of delighting family audiences all over the world, intrepid explorer Alvin Sputnik finally visits our little corner of the planet. In a master- piece of invention, creator and performer extraordinaire Tim Watts uses puppetry, live and recorded music, and animation to present an exploration of the next and oldest frontier: the deep blue sea.
In the not-too-distant-future the seas have risen, and those who survive live on farms atop skyscrapers and mountains. In a last ditch effort to save the human race, our hero Alvin Sputnik must journey down through the mysterious depths of the deep blue sea, to find a new place for humankind to live. Debuting in Perth in 2009, Alvin Sputnik is one of Australia’s most loved and toured shows, playing to sold out houses and rave reviews in Sydney, Melbourne, Edinburgh, Dublin, Seoul, Taipei, Auckland, and New York – and garnering a huge swag of awards along the way. |
