| Description | Stellar Seasons
The 50th anniversary is the golden one, and The Australian Ballet is serving up a glittering array of ballets in its birthday year. The year opens with Infinity. Graeme Murphy, Stephen Page and Gideon Obarzanek – the triple threat of Australian dance – unite for the first time to create a program of arresting new works. John Cranko’s Onegin will up the temperature with its tempestuous tale of thwarted passion, while Icons revisits perennial favourites from the company’s repertoire. Finally, the audience magnet Swan Lake will get a new traditional treatment from Stephen Baynes. |
