Description Janet Vernon, the Company's 1989 Acting Artistic Director, has programmed an exciting first season. Waiting is Paul Mercurio's first major choreographic commission for the company and will draw on his highly athletic, unpredictable vocabulary of movement. Arbos has been created by Ohad Naharin and is a new piece which marks the first time that a top international choreographer has actually choreographed on the dancers.

Further Information Happy Trials is staged by Ralph Lemon and is a typical example of the way in which his choreography 'embraces the innermost core of the music'. Song of the Night was created by Graeme Murphy for the Nederlands Dans Theatre in 1987. The Sydney Dance Company will perform this piece for the first time as part of the showcase season.
