Charles Yelverton O'Connor masterminded the building of Fremantle harbour, the establishment of WA's railway system and the construction of the water pipeline form Mundaring to Kalgoorlie. One of Australia's greatest engineers, he was pilloried in the West Australian Parliament and press. |
