| Description |
A production of Joe Orton's outrageous farce, with the Victorian College of the Arts School of Drama. Two thieves, Dennis (Phil Thomson) and Hal (Robert Thompson), decide to rob the bank next to the funeral parlour where Dennis works. After they decide to stash the money in Hal's mother's coffin, both the money and the corpse refuse to stay hidden.
This production was set in Melbourne. The programme notes state that "it is to Orton's credit as a writer of universal themes and a keen observer of humanity that Loot translates so easily into Australian terms." |
