In 1993, Keep Him My Heart was performed in what is widely acknowledged as a legendary occasion in the rich history of NT theatre. Now, some seventeen years later, extracts of the famed Larrakia-Filipino love story, created by Gary Lee and Bong Ramilo in collaboration with the Larrakia and Filipino communities, will return to the stage.
Central to the original performance, the inimitable Darwin Rondalla has been re-found and re-formed for the occasion. The lively stringed orchestra represents the bands that graced Darwin's dancehalls up until WWII. |
