Description SONS OF CAIN was first performed in 1985, just after the NATIONAL TIMES launched an investigation into the Wran government in NSW. This was the peak period of political corruption in NSW. Williamson was holding up a mirror to society in which selfishness, materialism and dishonesty seemed to be the order of the day. Man was pitted against man, woman against woman and men and women against each other, in a cut throat scramble to get to the top of the predominantly male-dominated heap.
