Description |
"Adios Cha Cha is a dramatic poem that uses an episodic form to portray life in a Third World village. Specifically, it focuses on the muddying fusion of work, religious tradition and military presence, and how these conflicting currents affect peasantry thrust into the world political scene. At the same time, it is also an effervescent celebration of the daily life of a community. Adios Cha Cha is a celebration of the spirit of a simple people; it examines the growth of awareness through learning and draws the line beyond which violent resistance to change becomes no longer tolerable." |
