| Description |
Kroetz's inspired and influential description of a woman living alone is one of the key works of German realism. Elegant and moving, the action is simple: we follow the rituals and routines of Ms Emma Swift as she goes about the business of her home. Accompanied only by the sound of a radio request programme, she moves through the small daily acts from which her life is built. But this is not a day like all the others. Emma has a different conclusion in mind. |
