March 1942 The Imperial Japanese Army stands poised to invade Australia. General Douglas MacArthur flees the Phillipines and continues the fight against the Japanese from Australia. Prime Minister John Curtin nervous and sick awaits the brilliant strategist. A hand shake between the two men is all that guaranteed our protection. Not much is known of their first meeting,this play explores what might have happened. |
