Description The two-act play addresses issues about communism, military aggression, politics and male/female relationships.

Written by the well-known and popular playwright, Betty Rowland, whose play, "The Touch of Silk," still lingers in the memory of the theatre-loving public of Australia, "Are You Ready, Comrade?" recently won the coveted Western Australian Drama festival, the most important festival of its kind in Australia.
The New Theatre League is glad of the opportunity of once again featuring an Australian drama of social significance.
An appreciation of this policy by the theatre at large and all theatre lovers is essential if we wish to encourage and develop local dramatists and a theatre impregnated with Australian ideals and traditions.
