| Description |
Based on book by Finnish author Hella Wuolijoki. Puntila is a semi-alcoholic landlord who decides to find his daughter Eva a husband. In a drunken frenzy, he finds a suitor who is not inevitably an ideal husband. Finally, he chooses his servant Matti to become his son-in-law. Knowing about Puntila's mood swings, Matti puts both Puntila and Eva to the test to make sure the marriage will work. |
