| Description |
Tony Twigg's paintings and sculptural construction make a starting point with their wooden fretwork imagery - chairs, a saw, puppet figures...Director Elisabeth Burke devised the movement as a response to Twigg's recent paintings, text written for the ocasion by Humphrey McQueen and wound through musical soundscape by Sarah de Jong, and the physical context of the event...this performed construction is the latest episode in what he calls his "stick story" - repeatedly tracing patterns in a handful of sticks dropped on the ground - which triggers the direction of his paintings. |
