Welcome to The New Now, where written words are forbidden and putting pen to paper is a powerful act of defiance. For those determined to compose or read a declaration from the heart, there is a way – but first they must undertake a treacherous journey to a secret camp and find ‘She, The Keeper of the Lost Hand’, one of the last to retain the knowledge of reading and writing. Audience members join Burkett onstage for the entire performance, bringing to life their own unique puppet to portray a character and act as the chorus to the unfolding story. |
