| Description |
"Throughout this exhibition the photographic image is used as an 'inter-text', blurring the thresholds between photography, painting, performance, theatre, literature, history, film. Photography has, in a sense, always participated in these terrains, yet as a wallflower on the sidelines - documenting, interpreting, or as the sketch-book for a more finished product. Here photography performs, swaps operations with other media, continually in transit. The presence beloved of interpretative, expressive or documentary photography is suspended."
