					| Description |
"Juliet Fowler-Smith, Frances Joseph and Debra Pertovich are artists and also mothers of young children. The installations they will create for this exhibition - whilst refraining from being overtly didactic - will address various issues raised by the common but normally undiscussed problems faced by women in the late 20th century. The confinement of the maternal woman is still occurring but now it occurs in a deceitful and deceptive way. The language of interruption is too often a language of merely enforcing silence rather than waiting (and expecting). |
