Description "This exhibition will focus on how 'taboo' topics are represented in the contemporary crafts." (brochure)

“...This exhibition focuses on how, under the guise of the tongue in cheek title, the taboo topics are represented in the minds of the assembled artists with the viewer questioning and identifying with these powerful issues.

Works are strong, graphic and explicit in topic and medium with many focusing on the pun like way many issues are cast off or hidden by conditioning as a result of social structure and or cultural background.

Materials used in this exhibition include textiles, paper, steel and found objects. Most pieces are either free standing or hanging with complimentary pieces hanging from different locations throughout the exhibiting space." (Alan Tremain - Curator & exhibitor)
