| Description |
Inspired by composer George Anthiel's compositions for objects including alarm bells, sirens and plane propellers, the artists will build a multi-timbral, MIDI activated Marimba-style instrument sourced from the Australian Waste stream. It will be designed to produce acoustic sound, trigger samples and control a number of stand alone electronic devices.
The artists will collaborate to explore the potential of real time audio/visual performance with this instrument and MIDI capable video performance software. |
