Vienna in the 19th century was a city of ballrooms, salons, opera houses and concert halls, home to generations of musical genius. At the heart of this celebration of 200 years of Viennese splendour is exquisite music by Richard Strauss, the autumnal Four Last Songs sung by star of the European operatic stage, Ricarda Merbeth. Lilting music from the 'Waltz King' Johann Strauss will sweep you away to the city by the Blue Danube. |
