Description "'SCUM: Death, Destruction and Dirty Washing' (ICA) traces the political and emotional development of women laundry workers and two young men in the people's militia, through the misery, depravation [sic] and cathartic struggles of the Paris Commune. No dull agitprop stereotypes here, but human beings fighting, celebrating, touching the stars. Each scene is a beautifully constructed cameo in its own right and the whole is very funny, conscientiously researched and with superb music to boot. This vivid production is political theatre at its very best." (Time Out)

Scum was written by Claire Luckham, Christopher Bond and the company.
