| Description |
Meditative, lyrical and intangible. Australian composers Ross Edwards and Chris Gordon join American composer and Pulitzer-prize winner John Adams, in a sublime evening of music-making and soul-searching at its most poignant.
With over 200 musicians and choristers on stage performing against a backdrop of extraordinary images and films, Ephemera will be a spectacular and moving experience. Commissioned by the New York Philharmonic, John Adams' memorial to September 11, "On the Transmigration of Souls", is a haunting surroundscape of layered sounds and textures. It is also accompanied by a commissioned work by Greg Barrett. |
